Marion was my dear beautiful, sweet, funny aunt, whom I adored. Memories of her coming into my grandmother’s house at Christmas laden with her cookies and candies was a child’s delight. As an adult I also appreciated the woman my aunt was and the honor and decency she represented. Most of all I just loved her to the moon and back!!!

Too many great memories to list here. The greatest is that Marion was like a second mom to me in my childhood years. I didn’t let just anyone tuck my shirt tail in or hug and comfort me if I got hurt. In my later elementary years she was the only person who called me ‘Steve’ when I declared I wanted to change my name.

I will always miss her southern accent and distinct laugh. A lot of her influence lives in me today.
