Marjorie Ann Wilson's Obituary
Marjorie Ann Wilson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 26, 1929, to her parents Ruth Stulz and Ed Higgins.She entered the gates of Heaven on October 29, 2014. She was surrounded by many of her family members. She was 85.Marjorie loved to cook and bake in her younger years. She made the best chocolate pie. She told her Granddaughter Kim “You better learn to make this. I won’t be around forever” and she did.She married the late Bennie Whittmore and had 2 children, the late Patsy Adams and Anita Nichols. In June 1961, she married the love of her life, the late Bob Wilson. They had 35 blissful years of marriage before he went to be with the Lord.She retired from the Tulsa Club as an Elevator Operator.In the past 11 years, she lived at Lucille Page. She loved going to the club house to play games. It didn’t matter the game. They called her lucky Wilson, she always won.She could crochet anything. She made beautiful quilts. She made hats and house shoes for l;the church to give the school kids. She loved giving to others. Marjorie said, “I got to stay busy so I make pretty things.”She loved to dance and listen to music, anything Bob would sing. She loved collecting elephants. Anytime she find any kind of elephant artifact, she added it to her elephant family collection.Marjorie would tell how it was. No matter who it was. She never met a stranger. She had a great sense of humor. She would tell everyone “I’m right with the Lord. When it is my time I will dance into Heaven with Bob.”Five words that best describe her are: sassy, loving, kind, strong and beautiful.Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Bob Wilson, daughters Patsy Adams, Grandson Winston “Dolittle” Nichols, Sister Lou Mears, Brother Bud Higgins, and other family members.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Anita and Bob Nichols, 6 loving grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister Maxine Mayberry and numberous nieces and nephews.She will be missed by all.Visitation will be Sunday, November 2, 2014, 12:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm.A celebration of life ceremony will be Monday, November 3, 2014, 10:00 am, at the Solace Church, 7314 W. 41st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma.A committal service will be held immediately following the church service, at Veterans Field of Honor, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
