Mark Alan Clampitt's Obituary
A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Mark A. Clampitt 59, passed away peacefully with his family present on June 20, 2015, in McKinney, Texas. He had bravely confronted and fought cancer and has been reunited with his wife Teresa Clampitt. He was born April 4, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and resided in Coweta, Oklahoma for the past several years. He was a dedicated and faithful employee of Zeeco Incorporated for 33 years before retiring, in which he received numerous awards during his tenure. Mark was a quiet and humble man who was extremely active in his life and had a passion for dirt biking and motorcycles in general with a life motto of “live free and ride hard”! He loved being competitive at all sports including basketball, tennis and any water sport. Mark will be dearly missed by his family and friends; including his 2 daughters: Crystal Dobbs (husband Marc Dobbs), and Sarah Collinsworth; grandchildren: Chase Collinsworth, Zane Collinsworth, Jadon Dobbs, Madison Dobbs, and Ella Dobbs; sister: Sue Phelps (husband David Phelps); niece Kristen Bean (husband Austin Bean and family); nephew: Nick Phelps (wife Jena Phelps); and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was the ultimate Grandfather, always prepared and making sure each grandchild was happy and had what was needed. We will forever miss our Papa Mark!!! Mark is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 30 years, Teresa (Teri) Clampitt, and his parents: John F. Clampitt Jr. and Dorothy Clampitt. Family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Floral Haven Funeral Home, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A celebration of life service will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015, in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
