Mark McKay's Obituary
Mark Warren McKay, age 71, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
passed away peacefully at home on July 9, 2026. He will be
fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather
and dear friend.
Mark was born on December 13,1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to
parents Raymond and Nellie McKay and lived in Broken
Arrow, Oklahoma for most of his life.
Mark was a proud member of the Cherokee Tribe. He graduated from Broken Arrow High School and went on to have a successful and fulfilling career as a registered land surveyor for over forty years.
Mark enjoyed being outdoors especially when he was riding his motorcycle. He
loved being with family and friends sharing a good visit and a meal. He was also a
talented artist and the sweetest ‘pet parent’.
Mark is survived by his wife, Nancy McKay, brother Joel (DeeDee) McKay, sister
Ramona (James Lintel) McKay, granddaughter Shelbie McKay, a niece, and many
nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Paul
Douglas McKay, and son, Marcus Lee McKay.
Mark’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Hallmark
Homecare and Saint Francis Hospice for their loving, kind, and compassionate
care. What a difference you all made.
