Marlene Dee McGinnis' Obituary
Marlene (Mena) McGinnis,68, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8th, 2024 at her daughter's home in Broken Arrow.
She was born January 19, 1956 to Floyd & Alice (Moore) McGinnis.
She was a 1974 graduate at Broken Arrow High School.
In 1974 she gave birth to her daughter, Krista Dawn.
Mena will be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends. She was kind, thoughtful and had a smile and laugh that would light up a room.
She loved gardening, going shopping with her daughter, and spoiling her dog, Tanner. She loved reading her bible and was always the one you called
when you or someone else needed prayer. No matter what she went thru in her life, she came out stronger. Her strength and love for her family were undeniable.
Before she passed away, she worked at Bass Pro Shops for many years. She loved everyone she worked with and they quickly became her second family. They checked on
her day and night thru her final months.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd & Alice McGinnis and her brother, Danny McGinnis.
She is survived by daughter, Krista Peek and her husband, Gary Peek. Her brother, Cregg McGinnis; her sister, Linda McKaig; her sister-in Law, Linda McGinnis and numerous nieces,
nephews and loved ones.
