Sanders, Marsha Kay's Obituary
Marsha Kay Sanders, 72, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Woodway, Texas passed away on Thursday July 24, 2025 due to advanced stage cancer.
Marsha was born on October 25, 1952 in Edmond, OK to Bobby Joe Dunham and Joan (Coonrod) Dunham. She grew up with her beloved brother, Mark in Guymon, OK and graduated from Guymon High School in May 1971.
Guymon will always be home to Marsha and bring fond emotions. It is where she and Mark shared so many wonderful memories. Trips to Red River, Colorado, churning ice cream on the back porch, fishing, horseback riding, and camping to name a few.
Marsha was married to Steve Sanders, the love of her life, and together they had a son, Zach. Marsha also had three daughters, Kelli, Jenni, and Trinity. Her children brought her so much joy, especially in her later years. She loved sharing special interests with them such as the love of all animals, books, gardening, crafts, true crime, and shopping.
Besides Marsha’s human family, she was a mother to Lucy, Heidi, Mattie, her precious Buddy, and most recently, Dolly - all of whom were very spoiled and adored. Her dogs were one of the things she enjoyed most in life.
Marsha was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Joe Dunham, her mother Joan (Coonrod) Dunham, her in-laws Melvin and Dorthy Sanders, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen Sanders of Woodway, TX, daughter Kelli Schneider and her husband Jesse of Jenks, OK, son Zach Sanders and his wife Shannon of Lorena, TX and their children MaKalynn and Ava, daughter Jenni Roaseau and her husband Patrick, of Broken Arrow, OK and their children Jesse, Gwen, and Abigail, daughter Trinity Lynn-Morris and her husband Jason Morris of Tulsa, OK, her brother Mark Dunham and his wife Debbie and their children Jeramie, Jacob, Jared, and Michelle, and daughter-in-law Alise and granddaughter Savoya.
A private family gathering will commence in the following weeks with an inurnment held in Guymon, OK at Elmhurst Cemetery.
