Martha Dyer's Obituary
Martha Lee Dyer of Broken Arrow passed from this life on Dec. 10, 2013 while at the Saint Simeon’s Episcopal Home in Tulsa. Martha was born Jan. 2, 1927 in Dove, MO to Jim and Clora Rogers and was the youngest of 8 children. She grew up in neighboring Lebanon, MO and graduated from Lebanon High School, later traveling to San Francisco to work in the banking business. When she returned home she met the love of her life Frank Dyer and they were married on Dec. 23, 1950, taking up residence in Tulsa, OK. She was a homemaker for many years and in 1960 her and Frank adopted a son, Curtis Dyer who was their only child.Martha entered into the working world in 1972 for McDonnell Douglas and worked there for 27 years as a Records Analyst. She and Frank were married for 53 wonderful years before he passed away in 2004. Martha was involved in many bowling leagues over the years as well as the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Broken Arrow and was also busy being a Grandma to her grandson Scott.Martha lived a full life with no regrets and was loved by many, many people and will be greatly missed.She is survived by her son Curtis, his wife Allison, a grandson Scott and 3 granddaughters, Sarah, Emma, and Kathryn as well as her sister Sybil of Lebanon, MO and many nieces and nephews.
