Marvin Edward Carbiener's Obituary
Marvin Edward Carbiener, 87, passed away at home with his family at his side. Marvin enjoyed painting, gardening, wood-working and was an avid reader. He volunteered with the “Roust-a-bouts” of Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Marvin served the Tulsa county Election Board as well as the Lutheran Braille Workers. Marvin served the US Marine Corps during the Korean war and retired from Cities Service as a Chemical Engineer. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; Edward and Adeline, his daughters Caryl and Cheryl, one aunt, Pearl Carbiener and a sister-in-law, Rose Carbiener. Marvin is survived by his wife Rose, his son Kevin Carbiener and wife Melody of Manteca, California, daughter Karen Bitner and husband Dan of Wichita, Kansas, daughter Kelley Goodrum and husband Tony of Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Grandchildren Katelyn and Megan of Irvine, California, Shawn of Wichita, KansasBrothers Robert of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Norman and wife Judy of Moline, Illinois , Irvine and wife Jan of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. And sister Darlene Westcott and husband Jerry of Cresco, Iowa. Along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Memorials include Lutheran Braille Workers, Bethesda Lutheran Communities and Saint Francis Hospice.
