Marvin Lyman Manning's Obituary
Manning, Marvin Lyman, entered heaven on August 30, 2009. Marvin was born in Springfield , Missouri in 1921 to Creola and LeRoy Manning. There were 13 brothers and sisters born to this union. He was employed at American Airlines for 26 years before retiring in 1983. Marvin was a U.S. Army Staff Sergeant during WWII. He served in the South Pacific and received the Purple Heart. Marvin loved to bowl. He bowled many years at Tiffany Bowl and more recently at Riverlanes. Marvin loved to spend time with his great-grandsons whom he loved dearly. Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Leveda of 62 years; son, Marty Manning; daughter, Kaye Case; granddaughter and husband, Ashley and Aaron Ball; great- grandsons, Brian and Brandon Ball; sister, Edith Latham of Springfield , MO. ; brother and sister-in-law, Max and Frieda Manning of Owasso; sister-in-laws, Vivian Avey of Crete, IL. and Wanda Manning of St. Joe , AR. , and many friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009, 12:30 p.m. in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with interment following.
