Mary Ann Bell's Obituary
Mary Ann Bell was born on October 9, 1928 and passed from this life on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the age of 90 years, after battling Alzheimer’s for many years.Ann was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Theodore Goller and Anna Jasek Goller. Ann had 4 siblings, three brothers and one sister, of which she was the youngest.She grew up on the family farm in Cartersville, Oklahoma and attended high school in Keota, Oklahoma.Ann married Donald (Don) Eugene Bell on November 25, 1947 in Whittier, California. Don and Ann had three sons.When Ann was pregnant with their third child, they moved the family to Tulsa, Oklahoma in early 1956. After a few years and with the boys getting a bit older, Ann did various things to keep her even busier than raising 3 boys. For several years she conducted various surveys, either going door to door or calling people on the phone to get their opinions of various products and politicians. She was an “Avon Lady” for many years. After Ann began her career as a Realtor in the late 60’s, Don became a Realtor himself and they worked together in real estate sales for several decades. They worked their real estate career in the Tulsa area and most recently worked for McGraw Realtors and Keller Williams Realty.Ann was an avid reader of history and mystery, such as Agatha Christie novels. She liked to garden and grew beautiful flowers and could grow tomatoes “when nobody else could”. She enjoyed her parakeets, who were chattering in the background, while she was painting landscapes, still lifes and portraits, for which she won some awards.Ann was preceded in death by her husband Don. They were married almost 67 years.She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Theodore (Ted) Goller, John Goller and Charles (Charlie) Goller and sister Dorothy Berry and also Noah Stephen Hollahan, a Great Grandson.Survivors include her sons: Donald Stephen (Steve) Bell and his wife Kacy of Broken Arrow; David Alan Bell of Tulsa and Dale Robert Bell of Burleson, Texas; grandchildren, Shannon Hollahan and husband Myke, with 4 great grandchildren of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; Brandon Michael Bell of Tulsa; Morgan TyRay Swaffar and wife Jessica, with 3 great grandchildren of Tulsa; Chelsea Meek and husband Justin, with 2 great grandchildren of Broken Arrow.Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Floral Haven Rose Chapel.
