Mary Louise Birkes' Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Louise Birkes, who left this world on July 7, 2024, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Mary was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and creative spirit.
Born to Walter and Eunice Schreiner, Mary Louise Birkes inherited a love for crafting and gardening from her parents. She was known for her remarkable talent in creating beautiful scrapbooks, tending to her flower beds with care, and bringing joy to those around her with her ornery sense of humor.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Garland Birkes, parents Walter and Eunice Schreiner, daughter Wendy Hicks, and stepdaughter Crystal Birkes
Mary is survived by son Gregory Schreiner, her daughter Michelle “Shelly” Ricks and husband Clyde, daughter Johnette “Jan” Harrington and husband Kelly, brother Jimmy Schreiner, sister Cindy Hale, sister Deanna White, grandchildren Hunter Harrington, Kyle Harrington, Seth Ricks, Bailey Harrington, Brittany O’Connor, Brianna Alley, Brandon Schreiner, Jacob Schreiner, Richard Daugherty, Cash Bellew, numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, and loved ones.
Memorial service will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
A reception will follow the services at Floral Haven Family Center from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
