Mary Beth Bishop's Obituary
Mary Beth Bishop, cherished sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on May 21, 1955, she lived a life filled with creativity, curiosity, and a generous spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Mary Beth was preceded in death by her beloved wife, Linda Marie Carnes; her parents, Robert Wesley Bishop and Delores (Gross) Bishop; and her uncle, Benjamin Carter Bishop. Their memories remained central to her heart throughout her life.
She is survived by her brother Raymond Bishop and his wife Donna of Tulsa; her sister Vicki Kohout and her husband Clark of Tucson, Arizona; her niece Angela Thomas and husband Jeff, along with their children Addison of Tulsa and Jordan of Tahlequah; and her nephew Matthew Bishop and wife Angela, with their children Hagen and Kinsley of Catoosa.
Mary Beth also leaves behind her aunt Javada Bishop of Tulsa and a large, close-knit family of cousins: Brent Bishop of Oologah; Blake and Rebecca Bishop of Sand Springs; Brooke Bishop of Tulsa; Jonna and Johnnie Reddell of Pauls Valley; Lainey and Johnnie Perigo of Cleveland; and Scottie Reddell of Pauls Valley.
A proud graduate of Daniel Webster High School, Class of 1973, Mary Beth later earned her degree from Community Care College, an accomplishment she pursued with determination and pride. Over the years, she worked in a variety of roles, ultimately finding her professional home with Dr. Jack Hudspeth, DDS, where she served as his assistant and office administrator. Her kindness, reliability, and steady presence made her a comfort to patients and a valued part of the practice.
Mary Beth had an adventurous spirit and was always ready to try something new. Her interests were wide-ranging—jewelry making, woodworking, etching, traveling, and countless creative pursuits that allowed her to express her imagination. Above all, she had a deep and abiding love for animals. Her pets were her companions, her joy, and a reflection of her gentle, nurturing nature.
Those who knew Mary Beth will remember her warmth, her humor, her willingness to help, and the way she made every person feel welcome and valued. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created, the love she shared, and the lives she touched.
