Mary Pauline Blagg was known as Sister Blagg at the West Tulsa Free Will Baptist Church. I was always proud when she would refer to me as â??one of her boysâ? and by that she meant I was one of many youth that had the privilege to have had her as a Sunday School Teacher in the junior age. She was my very first Sunday School Teacher and I remember how she could make a bible story come to life. The most vivid memory was when she taught us about the Tabernacle and inner room called the Holy of Holies, She made a tabernacle out of a box and had the curtain and all the elements inside. She was great and was way ahead of her time, with the way she taught. I remember ever year, we had an annual Sunday School Class skating party at the Glider Roller Rink and then she would buy us a burger at the hamburger stand next door. Then at Christmas she always gave us a big dollar candy bar. It wasnâ??t about what she could do for her class, it was the love that she showed us, which reflected Christâ??s love through her. After growing up and leaving that church, when I would be back, I would always look for her to get a hug and visit with her. Years ago, I would run into her at a photo lab that we both used and get to catch up then also. Bro. and Sis. Blagg has a special place in my life and there is a part of me that she is responsible for helping mold into what I am today. She was a special lady and I will always love her and will always remember her for the great impact she had on my young life, which has been the foundation of my life. Thoughts and prayers to Ronnie and family, I know she will be missed by them, but with her move to Heaven, she has left a void in a lot of lives!
