Mary Margaret Brown's Obituary
Mary Margaret Lytle Brown was born December I, 1922 in Skiatook Oklahoma to Lawrence Lytle and Vera Nichols Lytle. She passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 in Tulsa. After graduation from Jenks High School in 1940, she was united in marriage on December 28, 1940 with Clarence Edward Brown in Wagoner, Oklahoma. She worked many years as a floral designer at Rathbone ‘s Flair Flowers in Jenks. Margaret was a life long member of the First Christian Church in Jenks. She was also a member of the Turkey Mountain Home Demonstration Club. She loved to attend the Jenks Senior Citizens activities on Fridays. Her hobbies included.Floral designing, playing dominoes, painting, working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, knitting and quilting. Margaret is survived by her three sons: Mike and Dana Brown, of Broken Arrow; Larry Brown and Debbie of Jenks and Tony and Sue Brown of Lafayette, LA along with one brother, Jack and Mazie Lytle of Natchez, MS and two sisters, Judy and J. W. Scott of Graham, Texas and Nancy Scott of Tustin, CA. She was a proud Grandmother to 7 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great step grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by Clarence Brown, her husband of 63 years; mother and father, Vera Nichols Lytle and Lawrence Lytle, Sisters Doris Walls and Maxine Dodd and Brother Bill Lytle. Also 3 Granddaughters and 1 Step Grandson. The family would like to send special thanks to her Caregivers, Candy Harris and her staff and also to St. Francis Hospice Staff. Visitation will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow on Sunday from 12 to 8 and her Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:00 Monday in the Floral Haven Chapel with a reception to follow in the Floral Haven Family Center.
