Mary M Brown's Obituary
Mary Coffey Brown of Tulsa, 85, passed April 8th, 2026. She was born on August 13, 1940, in a small house on Jackson Street in Garden City (Tulsa, Oklahoma) to Manuel "Mo" and Ruth Walton Coffey.
She graduated from Daniel Webster High School in 1959 and began working at Safeway Grocery Store in Crystal City. In 1963, a chance meeting, led Mary to the love of her life, John LeRoy Brown.
Mary and John built a life together and raised three children: Matthew, Betsy, and Heidi. Their daughter Heidi sadly passed away in 1979. Mary and John shared many happy years together until his passing in 2012.
Mary was an avid reader and gardener who found her greatest joy in her family. She loved spending time with her sisters over lunch and enjoyed watching PBS.
She is survived by her loving children, Matthew and his wife Pam, along with their children Isabella and Eli; and Betsy and her husband Kevin Hardesty. She is also survived by her sisters, Manuella Glore and Carol Bailey, and her brother, Danny Coffey and wile Donna.
Mary will be remembered for her warmth, devotion to family, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 13th, 2026 from 5-7 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home
Celebration of life will be held Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at 12:30 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens - Garden of Devotion
