Mary Eugenia Curtis' Obituary
Mary passed away peacefully Monday May 23rd in Tulsa Oklahoma.
Mary was born June 17, 1936. Mary and her sister Margaret Thayer of Tulsa Oklahoma were the children of W. Claude Miller and Pauline Miller who preceded them in death.
Mary was also preceded in death by her lifelong love Robert “Bob” Curtis. Mary and Bob met when they were 14. They were both very involved students in Will Rogers High School class of 1954. Mary was 1954 Football queen and was a member of several clubs throughout high school.
Mary went on to Oklahoma University then Tulsa University graduating with a home economics degree. She was a secretary and model before marrying Bob in 1959.
Mary and Bob went on to raise a family in Tulsa Oklahoma. Mary was a homemaker but also worked in real estate for a period.
Mary was a wonderful wife and mother. She was an excellent cook, loved to shop, created and kept a beautiful home for her family.
Mary will be remembered by her kindness to all, her beauty and her loving caring nature. She had many lifelong friends who will miss her counsel and gentle nature.
Mary is survived by her girls Leslie Curtis and Julie Brillhart, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren all of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Many extended family as well as dear friends.
Services will be held at 3pm June 1st at Floral Haven.
