Mary Ellen Donahue's Obituary
Mary Ellen was the daughter of Sanford and Daisy Ryan, born May 9, 1935, in Maud Oklahoma. She attended Maud schools and was active in the Pep Club and Band. She worked at the Maud Drug store where she met her future husband, Dean Donahue. They were married July 12, 1952, to this marriage, two sons were born, Mikel Dean and Richard Dale.
The first two years of marriage they enjoyed living on a farm where Dean already owned some shorthorn cattle, they also raised wheat and alfalfa. After moving to Tulsa Mary worked in the business portion of the medical field at Hillcrest Hospital, Glass-Nelson Clinic, and concluded her career at Occupational Medicine Services. After retirement, Mary and Dean moved to Grand Lake where they enjoyed many years of fishing and boating with friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ernest Dean. Son, Richard Dale.
Her parents, Sanford and Daisy Ryan. Two brothers, JA (James) Ryan and Wesly Reed Ryan, and one sister, Bernice Moore. She is survived by her son Mikel and wife Christie Donahue. Daughter-in-law Sandy Donahue. Sister-in-law, Sandi Ryan. One sister Betty Horn. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Monday, September 9th, at Floral Haven Funeral Home, and the funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, on Tuesday, September 10th, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
