Mary Ann Gold's Obituary
Mary Ann Gold, 75, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed on October 25, 2020 with the love of her life Ed by her side. She was born on September 3, 1945 in Houston Texas to John Robert Ware and Ollie (Booth) Ware.
On October 23rd 1964, she married her high school sweetheart Edwin Gold. They welcomed their first child Duane Eddie Gold on June 12, 1967 and then daughter Dana Ann Gold on October 27, 1977. The family moved to Oklahoma in November 1968 where they made Broken Arrow their home.
Mary Ann had many things that brought joy to her life including coaching the Paw Prancers Drill Team for Broken Arrow Youth Football but most importantly loving her grandchildren.
She loved shopping for her beloved Coach purses and Christmas decorations. She loved her OU football and believed that she made better calls than the referees themselves!
Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother sister, sister in law, aunt, friend and many would say she was a “down right sassy pants”! She will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edwin Gold, daughter Dana Wood, son in law Ken Wood, daughter in law Brandi Loding, grandchildren Tasha Brinlee, Collin Gold, Austin Gold, Kaitlyn Wood and Nathan Wood, Great Granddaughters Presley, Reese and Kynslie, and brother Charles Ware. Her partner in crime, Janice Wood and the many “adopted” kids she picked up a long the way!
She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Duane Eddie Gold.
