Mary Etta Ledford's Obituary
Mary Ledford was born in Modesto, California on February 9, 1945 to David and Selma Crews. The Crews family moved to Oklahoma around 1948 and Mary spent the rest of her life in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mary attended Webster High School where she met her husband Gary Ledford, to whom she was married for 45 years. She is predeceased by her grandmother, Henryetta Crews, mother and father, Selma and David Crews, her husband, Gary Ledford, sister, Erma Dill and father-in-law, Tanzy Ledford. Mary is survived by her two children, Shelly Ledford and Tonya Luxton, as well as four grandchildren, Bryce, Lauren and Daniel Luxton, and Felicia Allen. She also is survived by a great grand child Daniel Allen and son-in-law, Jerry Luxton, daughter-in-law, Dawn DeMott, nephews Roy Dill, and David Dill, nieces Sharon Hurley, Debbie Dill, Donna Dill, Teri Dill and several cousins including Barbara Hahn, Carl Kennedy, Gary Kennedy and Jerry McCoy. Mary loved music. She and her husband Gary spent most of their lives sharing their love of God and music through a gospel music ministry. She also led the children's choir and taught Sunday School at Crossroads Full Gospel Church. Her favorite vacation spot was Branson, Missouri and she spent many happy times with friends and family there. Mary had a remarkable loving, sweet, giving and gentle spirit. She did not meet a person without giving them a gift, whether tangible or the gift of her love. Mary was a gift to everyone who knew her. She was loved and cherished by her family and friends and she will be greatly missed.
