Michelle:I met your mother in 1985 and soon after we became friends. June was such a lovely southern lady and I used to love how she and I could go eat breakfast and enjoy grits without questioning each other's choice over hashbrowns! She was truly a remarkable lady and always kind and loving toward everyone. I want you to know how much I have been missing her already. Call me sometime –918-605-0635. I tried to call you and Roberto, but I guess your cell phone numbers have changed. I will never forget June & me taking the 4th of July trip in 2010 to Tennessee and seeing where she grew up and her wonderful family. They were all very nice people and I got a great tour of Tennessee. We laughed ourselves silly on that trip and I am so glad that we did it. I feel like I had some quality time with my friend June. Michelle, you have been a wonderful daughter to her–I am so sorry for your loss.

Michelle, I will remember the late night calls, lunches, trips we took together, the jokes we shared and the serious conversations your Mother and I had. She was proud and loved you and Michael very much. She loved and was very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Your Mother always had the great ability to show love. Alot of people do not have that gift. Your Mom always told me she loved me when we talked or when we were together. We had so many fun times on our trips. I will miss my partner in crime. Dear Michelle, Mama called me about your mother's passing. I am so sorry that she had to endure that horrible disease. However, I'm glad she was able to live a normal life for much of the time and was not robbed of that blessing until her last few days. She was such a precious person and was willing to help or make others happy as much as she was able to. That same trait is part of you as well. You cared for her on a daily basis when she was sick. I know she loved you dearly and it is evident you returned that love. I will always remember her laughter and how her eyes danced when she laughed. Please accept my deepest condolences.
