Mary Ann McClure's Obituary
Mary Ann McClure, beloved mother, grandmother,
and great grandmother, passed away
peacefully on September 6, 2025 in Tulsa, OK.
She was born on May 6, 1936 in Kurthwood,
LA to parents Charles and Clarice McClure. Her
legacy lives on through her children: Dewitt
McClure of Langley, Ok, Benjamin McClure of
The Woodlands, TX, Jo Ann McClure-Huml of
Houston, TX, John McClure of Tulsa, Thomas
McClure of Richmond, VA, Melissa Frazier of
Tulsa, and Henry Powers of Tulsa, her grandchildren:
Courtney, Kelsey, Sasha, Christopher, Jeremiah,
Jonathan, Holly, Amanda, Thomas, Jesse,
Clarice and Olympia, and her great grandchildren:
Malena, Xavier, Aaliyah, Hunter, Isabella,
Travis, Thomas, Elijah, Luke, Gabriel, Addy
Kate, and Kaden. She joins in eternal rest her
daughter Mary Powers, her parents and her siblings:
Charles McClure, Kenneth McClure, and
Gwen Spaugh.
A strong graceful swimmer she found happiness
in and around all bodies of water. She
shared her love of swimming and adventure
with her children and grandchildren especially
during memorable spontaneous drives with
her grandchildren-joyfully calling them “let’s
go get lost” trips-where the journey mattered
more than the destination and became family
legends. She will be remembered for her talent
in the kitchen, filling it with the delicious
aromas of Southern foods, her zest for life and
sense of playfulness that touched everyone she
met.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will
be held at a later date.
