January 27, 1949 – August 24, 2024
Mary Lee McMillian was born January 27, 1949, to Royal & Emma Glover in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was 75 years young & leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, unmatched humor & a vast array of memories spanning across decades of generations. She received Christ Jesus as her Lord & Savior while attending Rose of Sharon Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. When she moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma she joined New Beginning Holiness Church where she remained a good & faithful servant of the Lord.
On Saturday August 24, 2024, Mary Lee McMillian transitioned from Earth to take her place beside the Lord. She’s proceeded in death by her parents Royal Glover & Emma Johnson Glover; her husband Jimmie McMillian; her daughter Kercena Glover; her brothers Irvin Woodard, David Woodard, Royal Glover Jr. & Curtis Glover; her sisters Hilda Glover & RoseMary Wiggins; her brother-in-law Eugene Cage Sr.; her sisters-in-law Lucille Woodard, Marie Glover as well as numerous loved ones who departed before her.
Mary is survived by her sisters Geneva Spland, Maggie Cage & Hatie Glover; her brothers Cornell Glover & Frederick Glover; sisters-in-law Ora Woodard & Ida Glover; children Ralph Norris, TreMetra Martin & Samuel (Rebecca) Norris; grandchildren TaKneshia (Darrell) Easley, Kayla, William, Armone, Caden, Demeris, Myauna, Lucy, Gracie, Jasmine & Jaxson; her great-granddaughter ZaDellia & multitudinous nieces, nephews & extended family who will forever cherish her memory.
Acknowledgements
The pain of losing Mary, whom we love & cherish, is the price we pay for the privilege of having had her as a major part of our lives. We extend our deepest gratitude to all who offered their prayers, calls, texts, & the myriad expressions of love, care & sympathy during this time of grief.
