Mary Lynn Milam's Obituary
On December 18, 2024 Mary Lynn completed her journey on earth and entered the gates of heaven to see her Lord. She was born to Dale Henderson and Dorothy McDonnell Watt (both deceased) on December 18, 1934 and was the first of four siblings. Mary Lynn graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1952. She attended Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University) where she met the love of her life, Robert E. (Bob) Milam. She and Bob were married September 6, 1953.
Together they enjoyed many years of boating, traveling, and going to Oklahoma lakes, particularly Lake Tenkiller. Mary Lynn became a Certified Public Accountant in 1982, and worked in public accounting for many years. In her later years she worked for her son, Steve, in his firm of Milam and Associates, PLLC. Even after she "retired" she worked for Steve during tax season for many years.
Her greatest joy was her family, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who she adored. Mary Lynn also enjoyed music, jigsaw puzzles, playing bridge and her many friends. She is survived by her husband of years, Bob Milam and their three children, Steve Milam, Rob Milam and Joan Newton, all of Tulsa.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Callie Caroon and husband Joe, Rachael Kittleson and her husband John, Anika Dickinson and her husband Matt, Brian Newton, Chris Newton and Richard Newton and wife Deepa, and eleven great grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are Carolyn Hale and John O. Watt.
Burial will be in Floral Haven Cemetery, with a memorial graveside service at Floral Haven. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Asbury Tulsa, or a charity of your choice.
Memorial service will be held Friday, January 10th, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home
