Mary Sue Nichols' Obituary
Mary Sue Nichols was born in St. Louis, Missouri September 9, 1933 and passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013. As a junior at North Kansas City High School, she was a XI Omega Sorority Sister; with the family then moving to Tulsa, she graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1955. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Elizabeth Emison; husband Les Nichols; two sisters, Bettye Shannon of Smithville, Missouri and Barbra Linn of Tulsa. She is survived by her brother Faris Emison of Claremore; sister Terri Ojala of Owasso; five nephews; four nieces and thirteen great-nephews and nieces. Mary and Les earned a diploma degree in square dancing and were members of the Northeast Oklahoma Square Dancing Association; along with certification in the Dale Carnegie courses of effective speaking and human relations. Mary worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield; data processing at the City of Tulsa; followed by many years in Real Estate earning agent of the month. Mary was the most caring, sincere and trusting person in the world. Her family came first. She loved visits with her nephews and nieces; and would sacrifice things in her life to make others feel happy and important. Her life counted to so many and she had a heart most pure. All of us love you Mary.
