Mary Prewett's Obituary
Prewett, Mary “LaVerne”, 65, devoted and loving wife, mother, “nanny”, sister, friend and mentor entered the arms of God on April 4, 2005. She dedicated her life to the happiness and welfare of her family, friends and many others. She carried light, laughter and love to all. She served as Deacon and music minister’s wife, sang in the choir, was a Sunday School teacher and member of Living Oaks Baptist Church. LaVerne was past President of Broken Arrow Business Women, coordinator for the “One on One” cancer support group, sponsored by Surgical Associates of Tulsa. Other organizations include ABWA, Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce and she was a mentor for Broken Arrow Margaret Hudson Program as well as many others. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed.Family visitation was 7:00 P.M. ~ 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2005, Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral service was held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 7, 2005, Living Oaks Baptist Church, with burial at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.Survived By: Bill Prewett, her husband of 46 years; daughters, Julie Remington and her husband Will of Broken Arrow, Kim Borland and Robby LeBeau of Broken Arrow, Connie Ishmael and husband Richard of Skiatook; grandchildren, Tiffany Moyers of Broken Arrow, Tina Moyers of Owasso, Logan Borland and Cody Borland of Broken Arrow, Matthew White and Morgan Duckworth of Skiatook; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Moyers and Skylee Moyers of Broken Arrow; sisters, Gayle Chaney of Lindale, TX and Beverly Watson of Abilene, TX; brother, Riley Wyatt of Big Spring, TX and a host of other family members and friends.
