Mary Nell Rackleff's Obituary
Mary Nell Rackleff, 87, of Tulsa, passed away on November 4, 2016 at Franciscan Villa in Broken Arrow. She was born February 22, 1929 in Tularosa, New Mexico to M.D. and Maud (Harlan) Jamison. She graduated from Northeastern State University where she met and married her husband, George Rackleff. The couple settled in Tulsa and had three sons, Jim, Joe and Jack. Mary Nell, while raising her three sons, embarked on a teaching career which span over three decades. She retired as an English teacher at Nathan Hale School. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and then, Woodland Acres Baptist Church. Mary Nell lived her life as a devoted Christian, wife, mother grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, George, their three sons; Jim Rackleff and wife Brenda, Joe Rackleff and Jack Rackleff and wife Patricia, grandsons; Tyler and wife Suzanne, Justin and wife Chelsea, great-grandchildren Aidan and Stella, all of Tulsa. Preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Jim Jamison, Bill Jamison, Jack Jamison, Vera Harvey and Betty McElroy; daughter in law Sherry Rackleff and Lois Jamison. There will be a visitation Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 5-7 p.m at Floral Haven Funeral Home Funeral Service will be Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodland Acres Baptist Church in Tulsa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Children’s Home @ http://www.obhc.org/bch-owasso or Hospice of your choice.
