Mary Margaret Weems' Obituary
Mary "Margaret" Bonds Weems, passed away in her home in Sand Springs, OK on September 4, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on December 23, 1935, in Guthrie, OK, to George and Ruby Bonds. She graduated from Guthrie High School in 1954. On March 7, 1954, she married Robert Donald Weems and in July 1955 gave birth to son Jim and later in April 1959 to daughter Carole. Margaret was a Christian raised in the Church of Christ. She retired from First Bank of Owasso as a bank teller. In her younger years, Margaret enjoyed ballroom dancing and loved going out with her friends. She was a huge fan of Oklahoma football all of her life and would never miss a game, whether it be listening to the game on the radio or watching it on TV. She was also a big fan of Elvis and had a large collection of his music, always wanted to see him in person but never got the opportunity. She loved to travel, her favorite place being Hawaii, which she went to on many occasions. Known by her grandchildren at "Grandma Mary", she enjoyed spending time with them over the years.
Margaret was predeceased by her father George Bonds, her mother Ruby Bonds, and son-in-law Rick Winsworth. She is survived by her son Jim Weems of Florence, TX, Carole Winsworth of Sand Springs, OK, and sister Bobbi Green of Norman, OK. Grandchildren: Amanda Marsh (Jonathan), Greg Winsworth (Laura), Kristin Beard (Jesse), and Lindsey Weems. Nephew Mark Green (Pamela). Great-grandchildren: Ella Marks, Eli Marks, Brooke Winsworth, Scarlett Winsworth and Maverick Marsh.
Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 12:30 pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, graveside services immediately following at Floral Haven Cemetary, Broken Arrow, OK.
