Verrona, Matthew Ryan's Obituary
Matthew Ryan Verrona, age 49, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and deep devotion to the people he loved. Born on December 30, 1976, in Ohio, Matthew was the beloved son of Dane Elliott Verrona and Rebecca Linette Skirvin Verrona, who preceded him in death.
Matthew spent many years working in the food and beverage industry, where he was known as a talented and welcoming bartender. His easy smile, quick wit, and genuine ability to make others feel at home earned him countless friendships and lasting connections throughout his career.
He is survived by his three sisters—Amanda Gafford, Brandi Chapman and her husband Joe, and Mindy Verrona—who will forever cherish his memory. Matthew was a proud and loving uncle to nine nieces and nephews: Taylor Jones, RyLeigh Roberts, Coda Thomas, Kaleb Chapman, Kaitlyn Kaihe, Kameron Chapman, Conor Fitzpatrick, Sarah Skirvin, and Lynsey Skirvin. He also leaves behind four great-nieces and nephews—Harleey Chapman, Haisley Chapman, Jameson Kaihe, and Raysen Ozeroglu—as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Matthew’s life was marked by his generous heart, his loyalty, and his ability to bring light into any room. His absence will be felt deeply, but his spirit will continue to live on in the memories of all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please check back for updated service details.
