Mark Childers
I first got to know Maxine when we worked together at Boswell's Jewelers in Utica Square. Those of us that knew her well, endearing called her "mother". Her two wonderful daughters became our sisters Sarah and Dana. She always made our favorite cake for our respective birthdays. I still make the one she made for me. Her deep faith in an ever-loving God was a witness to all that came in contact with her. Those of us that could sing would join her often in singing cherished old hymns like "I'll fly away". Maxine, I love you. Say hello to my grandmother Evangeline for me. I'll look forward to both of you at the great "high feast" of our Lord someday. with love, Mark
