Melba Beatrice Surface Melba Beatrice Surface, age 89 of Bixby, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, July 12th, 2011 at her home. She was born March 7th, 1922 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to George and Beatrice Holden. She was a loving mother that stayed at home to raise her children and to care for the home. She lived in Tulsa most of her life. She loved to garden and to build puzzles. She was married to Don Surface on August 8th, 1944 in Los Angeles, California. They were married for 67 years. She is survived by her husband Don Surface from Bixby. Four children- two sons (Ron Surface, Bixby and George Surface, Apache Junction, Arizona) and two daughters (Aloha Surface, Owasso and Diana Surface, Bixby). Five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
