Melvin Eugene Callahan's Obituary
Melvin Eugene Callahan, age 80, passed away on September 17, 2015 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Melvin was born on July 16, 1935 in a farm house outside of Seneca, Missouri to his parents Arthur and Lula May Callahan. He was the last of 14 children. After his general education, he began a career with APAC-Construction as an operator. Melvin retired after 25 years of diligent service. Melvin was married to Effie Callahan for 57 years until her passing in 2011. After her passing, Melvin married Naomi Harding and shared three years with her. Melvin was a loving, devoted, Father and Grandfather with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a family man who was guided by his devotion to God. He is survived by his wife Naomi Callahan, his son Stanley Callahan, his daughter Gay Polovich and many other family and friends. Visitation will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 12 pm to 8 pm with family to greet from 4 pm to 6 pm. Services will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Clarehouse, 7617 S Mingo Rd, Tulsa, OK 74133.
