M. Lee Graham's Obituary
M. Lee Graham passed away on May 2, 2023 and joined his beloved wife Lois in heaven with his Lord. Lee was born on April 4, 1928 in Bowlegs, OK to George Washington and Mamie Graham. When he was in sixth grade he moved with his parents, three brothers, and sister to Barnsdall, where he attended a one room school and met his high school sweetheart and future wife. In 1946, Lee graduated high school, enlisted in the U.S. Army for WW2, and began his 69 years of marriage with Lois.
After completing his tour of duty in Japan where he learned “that there’s a lot more to this world than Oklahoma,” Lee joined a pipeline gang with Oklahoma Natural Gas in December of 1947. He worked in numerous positions during his 40-year career in the Operating Department of Oklahoma Natural Gas, and he represented ONG on 11 different committees before retiring as Manager of Customer Service in 1986.
Lee was active in the Tulsa community, where he managed a neighborhood pool, volunteered and flipped burgers for the Lions Club, and was a founding member of BattleCreek Church. He was a loving husband, dad and papa, who always spent time with his family, from taking his grandkids minigolfing to playing games or hosting friends and family at his home.
He is survived and dearly missed by his family: three daughters, Janis of Tulsa, Dana and husband Larry of Broken Arrow, and Lori and husband Mik of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Jody and wife Dana, Brandy and husband John, Shawnda, Mindy and husband Wes, Scott and wife Jessica, Kami and husband Jim, Christi, Joshua and wife Jacqueline, Trey and wife Miranda, Grace and husband Brandon, and Timothy and wife Devin; great-grandchildren, Avery, Blaine, Mason, Reid, Reese, Lexi, Conner, Kensley, Bella, Jessa, and Clara; and many other loving family members and friends.
Viewing and visitation with family will be Monday, May 8th from 5 to 7 p.m at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9th, also at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow. Memorial donations may be made to BattleCreek Church in Broken Arrow.
