Melvin "Bud" Evans Riggs II's Obituary
Melvin (Bud) Evans Riggs II, 83, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2023. He was born May 24, 1940, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Melvin and Juanita Riggs. He taught for Tulsa Public Schools for 34 years and was a long-time member of Highland Park Christian Church. He was an avid, lifelong swimmer, enjoyed traveling with his wife Pam, spending summers in Maine, fly fishing, OU football, Red Sox baseball, and investing time in family and friends.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Pam, his parents, and his sister Dawn Eva Neal.
Bud is survived by his 2 daughters and their spouses, Kimberly and CJ Moeller of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Dawn and Andrew White of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, Kyle Moeller, Madison Moeller, Micah Moeller, and Lilly White; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Floral Haven Funeral Home
Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Floral Haven Chapel
