Melvina Fields' Obituary
Melvina Fields, 83 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at a Tulsa hospital. She was born August 31, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to her parents, Samuel Owens and Viney Reeves Owens. She married the love of her life, Porter Fields in 1955 and they shared in over 65 years before his passing in January of 2020.
Melvina is survived by two children, Donna Riley and her husband Boyice of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Wayne Fields and his wife Linda of Lawrence, Massachusetts; two siblings, James Owens and his wife Marium of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Joyce Owens of Flint, Michigan; four grandchildren, Rodney Burton and his wife Tenisha, Shannon Burton, Lisa Burton and Tiffany Majors and her husband Mark; six great-grandchildren, Beauty, Cherish, Zach, Isaac, Jalen and Jasmine; and many friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Fields; her parents, Samuel and Viney Owens; and her son, Porter Fields, Jr.
