Michael Dean Allsop's Obituary
Michael Allsop of Hillsborough, NJ, formerly of Tulsa, passed away January 18, 2012 after an extraordinarily courageous two and one-half year battle with cancer. Mike was born 57 years ago in California and grew up in Tulsa. He was a baseball player, ice hockey defenseman, and lifelong golfer. Mike attended OSU prior to transferring to Tulsa University where he graduated with a B.S. in education. Mike taught history and social studies at Jenks High School before starting a 32-year telecommunications career, beginning with Southwestern Bell and finishing with Verizon in NY and NJ. Mike was predeceased by his mother, Terry, and his brother, Rick. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Vicki, and son, Davis, of NJ; his father Tom of Oregon; brother David and his wife Tawnda of Tulsa; brother Kevin of Arizona; and aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
