I was lucky to work with Mike at CR Anthony's in my senior year... he was a great person even at that age of 16-17 years. We developed a relationship of a good friendship with many meaningful conversations. I have a card he gave me as I graduated and went away to college. I ran across it a whole back and it made me smile. I read the things here that his daughters wrote and what a beautiful legacy he leaves in them. Bless you, his family, and I am sad to hear of his passing but glad he left goodness here on earth.

I have so many memories, the shared apartment over the Circle Theater, bike rides, Boy Scouts, camping trips, my first plane ride to visit him in Austin., evenings playing pool and enjoying each other's company. We were born 3 weeks apart, and 3 houses apart. Our mother's had play dates for us as soon as we could walk and arranged for us to stay in touch until we could transport ourselves. Mike was my best friend for 71 of my 72 years. I miss him always

Dad was a mystery. As humble as he was, he still managed to set the bar really high for my sister and I when we came of age. She went on to marry an Aerospace Engineer, and I, a Worship Minister. No less would do. I like to think dad passed on knowing without a doubt, that his two little girls hearts are in the hands of men as strong, kind, and smart as he was.

in honor of Michael.

The wee me wanted to begin elementary school SOOO bad, and well, the cut-off date for the public school system would not allow me to enroll until the following year. That didn't stop dad from making a way. He enrolled me in a Private Lutheran School downtown Austin. Redeemer Lutheran. He went out of his way (literally every morning) to bring me joy and likely paid a pretty penny. In doing so, he brought me to Jesus. I thoroughly enjoyed Redeemer, Kindergarten - 1st grade, after which I was able to go to public school. I graduated high school a year early and hit the ground running (at times too fast, but that's another story) :) - Breanna
