Michael J. Dougherty's Obituary
Mike was born June 22, 1948 to James E Dougherty and Carol Kilstofte-Dougherty. He passed away May 29, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Becky Dougherty, his sister, Jane Nichols, his brother, Bill Dougherty, and stepsons, Scott Lambert, Mark Lambert and Chris Lambert. After he graduated from high school he served in the U.S. Navy from Oct. 1967 through Sept. 1969 as a Marine Mechanic and received a National Service Defense metal of honor. After active duty he returned to serve in the Naval Reserve until 1973. Mike moved to Oklahoma with Cory Coffee in 1980 and purchased a ranch in Sapulpa where he enjoyed his horses and equestrian trailriding. Shortly after he arrived in Oklahoma, he met the love of is life, Becky Lambert, and they married in 1983. They celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary this year. Mike and Becky enjoyed tropical vacations, country dancing, and camping and boating on Lake Gibson. Mike enjoyed spending his free time landscaping their home in Indian Springs. He went on to work for Cory/ARA Coffee and Imperial Coffee. He enjoyed the coffee business and took great pride in his work. He loved the people he worked with at Imperial Coffee. He will be greatly missed as a coworker and as one of their top salesmen. Mike was an avid golfer, loved living on a golf course and had a close bond with his golf friends at Indian Springs and Shangri La. He traveled and played at tournaments at every opportunity. I am sure if there are golf courses in Heaven, he is playing a round right now!, Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015 -12:30pm at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
