I just wanted to share a story I came across as I was reading back through my text conversation history today. I had asked Dad how he learned how to swim; his quick response was that grandpa threw him into the river. We had a good laugh about that one when we talked over the phone, then a while later another swimming memory must have come to him and he decided to share it too. (Text convo screenshots are in the images attached below.) I bet some of you were even there for this one!
Dad had many good memories and stories that stayed with him over the years. I'd give anything to be able to ask him to tell me more of them. I'll miss him forever. If anyone reading here has stories or moments they remember fondly with Dad, please feel free to share! I would love to hear them.
Mike, was like family to me. He was like a brother to me. We worked many years together side by side. He was a very intelligent guy who cared deeply about his family. I will miss Mike very much.
