Michael Gregory Hines, age 53, passed from this life on May 13, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the city where his remarkable journey began on May 5, 1972.
Michael was a man whose presence lit up every room he entered. Known for his infectious personality and boundless charisma, he had a gift for making others laugh and feel seen. Whether through a witty remark or a warm conversation, Michael had a way of turning strangers into friends and friends into family.
He found his greatest joy in the love he shared with his husband, Jon Christopher Dresser. Their bond was a testament to true partnership, filled with laughter, support, and unwavering devotion. Together, they built a life rich in love, shared dreams, and the companionship of their beloved dogs.
Professionally, Michael thrived as a restaurant manager, where his natural leadership, mentorship, and exceptional listening skills earned him the admiration and respect of colleagues and customers alike. He also lent his talents to catering and event planning, where his attention to detail and vibrant spirit made every occasion memorable.
Michael was the life of the party, a master conversationalist, and a soul who never met a stranger. His ability to connect with people from all walks of life was a rare and beautiful gift. To know Michael was to love him.
He was a devoted husband, a cherished son, a beloved brother, a fun-loving uncle, and a loyal friend. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and heart.
Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents Lawrence and Eleanor Baker; and his two beloved pups Ernie and Ellie. He leaves behind his husband Jon Christopher Dresser; parents Joe and Shirley Miller; sister Shannon and Craig Smith; nephew Austin Trevor Mantooth, SSGT; niece Eiley Smith; beloved pups Lulu and Lilly; along with other family members and friends who will forever cherish their memories.
A celebration of life to honor Michael will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the Bellview Event Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 12:00PM with Jay Howell officiating.
