In Loving Memory of Michael Joseph Jarrett

Michael Joseph Jarrett, born on February 7, 1955 to Robert and Lucille Jarrett in Tulsa, OK, He passed
away on April 14, 2023 in Catoosa, OK. He leaves behind a love for his family and a dedication of service
to his community.
Michael, known as Mike by many, had a long and illustrious career with the Tulsa Police Department,
where he proudly followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, Cecil Jarrett and father, Robert Jarrett. His
son Brandon Jarrett continues his generational legacy of service to the citizens of Tulsa. He was sworn in
as a Tulsa Police Officer on December 31, 1975 where he spent a majority of his career as a handler in
the TPD K-9 Corps and retired in 2006 as detective in the Auto Theft Unit.
Apart from his career in law enforcement, Mike was an avid sports fan and had a special place in his
heart for the Dallas Cowboys, Oklahoma Sooners, and St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed following their
games, cheering them on, and sharing his enthusiasm for sports with his family and friends.
In addition to his love for sports, Mike had a deep passion for fishing. Fishing was not just a hobby for
Mike, but a way for him to find peace and joy in the outdoors with the people that he loved and the
memories he made with them.
Mike was a devoted husband and a loving father. He loved his family deeply and was actively involved in
their lives by providing them with guidance, support, and unconditional love. Mike was a pillar of strength
for his family and continued to show his unwavering love and resilience. He had a warm and caring
personality and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He had a great sense of
humor and was known for his storytelling and ability to make others laugh.
Mike's presence in the lives of those around him will be deeply missed. He is survived by his loving wife,
Laura Jarrett and son Jake Jarrett of the home; daughter, Kendra Baldwin and husband David; son,
Brandon Jarrett and wife Jennifer; daughter, Brooke Jarrett and fiancé Casey Forbus; grandchildren,
Kenslee Baldwin, Kale Jarrett and Blythe Jarrett; mother, Lucille Jarrett; brother, Steve Jarrett and wife
Eva; sister, Karen O’Neal and husband Paul. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Jarrett;
children, Ethan Jarrett and Jessica Jarrett.

Tuesday April 18th, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Floral Haven 6500 S. 129th E. Ave., Broken Arrow, OK
Memorial Service
Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. at Floral Haven Cemetery, 6500 S. 129th E. Ave., Broken
Arrow, Oklahoma
