Joey is the greatest person we had the honor in getting to know. His goal in life was to make everyone laugh.
We gather to celebrate the vibrant life of Michael Joseph Keegan, a man whose kindness, generosity, and compassion touched all who knew him. Born on February 9th, 1990 in Pomona, CA. Joey filled every moment with love and laughter.
Joey's heart was as big as his smile. His passion for music, cooking, traveling and gaming brought joy not only to himself, but to everyone around him. Whether he was crafting meals “out of this world” or planning the next family vacation, his zest for life was infectious.
A dedicated professional, Joey started a new chapter in his career at OU Medical Center in 2021 his hardworking spirit and patient nature made a positive impact on his colleagues and the projects he managed.
Joey proudly served his country starting in 2010, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant as a Security Specialist, Military Police, and Confinement at Vandenburg Air Force Base. He also completed a tour in Afghanistan and was Base Security. His dedication and service are a testament to his character.
Above all, Joey was a family man. He was the loving husband to Kerrie Keegan and devoted father to Benjamin and Evey Keegan. He cherished singing in the car, or giving voices and commentary to their pets, and just being silly with both kids. Family activities like beach days, video gaming and slow mornings with big breakfast and coffee were the moments he loved most.
