Mike “Papa” KesslerMichael “Mike” Eugene Kessler, a resident of Tulsa, passed away January 25, 2019 at the age of 65. He was born December 29, 1953 to William Kessler and Jean (Redman) Kessler in Coffeyville, Kansas.Mike enjoyed many things throughout his life. He loved spending time with his family, working in his shop, gardening, and being entertained by his grandkids in many ways. Mike worked at St. Francis Hospital for 36 years in the maintenance department and made life long friendships with many coworkers. He participated in area craft shows for the last 19 years, displaying and selling his scroll work. Mike enjoyed watching his grandkids participate in sporting events, dance recitals, orchestra concerts and watching them build masterpieces in the shop. He was a loving husband, amazing dad, and the greatest papa anyone could ask for. He will be missed but never forgotten.He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Bill Kessler and grandson, Nathaniel Stephens.Survivors include his loving wife, Joyce Kessler; daughter, Kimberly Stephens and husband, Erich; son, Bryan Kessler and wife, Courtney; four grandchildren, Gordon, Lydia, Madelynn and Raegan; two sister-in-laws, Carolyn Cupples and Melissa Clift and brother-in-law, Jim Clift.Viewing will be held Tuesday, January 29th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow.In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
