Michael Dean Legg's Obituary
Michael Dean Legg, age 82, passed away on March 5, 2026, in Carbondale, Illinois.
Mike was born on September 1, 1943, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to Eldon and Parthena (Moore) Legg. He was raised in a farming family alongside his four brothers.
Mike graduated from Centralia High School before attending Oklahoma Christian College, where he met the love of his life, Sharon Martin. The two were married for 56 years until Sharon’s passing in 2019.
Mike enjoyed spending time fishing, and when he wasn’t on the lake he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams — the St. Louis Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, and the Oklahoma Sooners.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon Lou Legg; his parents Eldon and Parthena Legg; and his brother Jimmy Legg. Left to cherish Mikes memory are his children Marty Legg and his wife Lisa, and April Knight and her husband Glen; grandchildren Kierstyn Henderson and her partner Emily Holliday, Robert Legg and his wife Destiny, Austin Knight, and Caleb Knight and his wife Elizabeth; great grandchild Jackson Henderson; brothers Carl Legg, Mark Legg and his wife Robyn, and Jerry Legg and his wife Avice; along with other family members and friends who will forever cherish their memories with Mike.
A visitation to come and pay your respects to Mike will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 5pm - 7pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 10am at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Following the service Mike will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
