Michael Henry Schneider, 75 years old, passed peacefully at home in Inola on December 27th, 2024. Born in Brenlorenzen, Germany on August 9th, 1949, to parents Hans and Maria.
His family, including his brother Pete, immigrated to Leavenworth, Kansas when he was 2 years old. They moved to Shawnee Mission, Kansas when he was 7 years old. Mike was raised in the Catholic faith. He met the love of his life, Janet Robinson in high school.
They married on January 15th, 1971. He then enlisted in the Navy and was an aviation sheet metal specialist and airframe mechanic. They fell in love with the Tulsa area, eventually convincing some Navy friends to join them.
They had two beautiful children, Jesse and Jennifer, who have followed in his footsteps with the love of flying and nature. Mike had a prolific aviation career with much of that career being spent with Helmerich & Payne for 34 years.
He also loved to restore aircrafts with his son, play golf with friends, and spend time with his loving family. He and his family attended St. Pius X Catholic Church in Tulsa, and they enjoyed many years of worship there.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet, of 52 years. He is survived by his son Jesse, daughter Jennifer, daughter-in-law Kelli, brother Pete Schneider and his wife Jan, sister-in-law Mary Leonard and her husband Glen, and brother-in-law Rick Robinson and his wife Martha.
