Michael Williamson's Obituary
Michael “Mike” Daniel Williamson, 71 of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at his residence with family by his side. He was born December 6, 1947 in Stratford, Connecticut to his parents Darrell B. Williamson and Gloria Couture Williamson. Mike married the love of his life, Susan Ann Floyd on January 26, 1978 and they shared in over 28 beautiful years together prior to her passing in 2006.Mike served in the United States Navy as a Navy Seabee during the Vietnam War and he served on three different tours. He loved to sing and dance and would belt out a song to different people, brightening their day. Years ago you might find him on the street corners of the projects in Bridgeport, Connecticut singing Doo Wop to entertain the passersby. He loved to shop for various things on Ebay and was a true “wheeler dealer” when purchasing his cars and motorcycles. He owned many, many motorcycles over his years. Mike was a true family man, strong, devote Christian and a devoted husband, father and grandfather.Mike is survived by one son, Jason Williamson and his wife Twila of Purcell, Oklahoma; two daughters, Jessica Wilson and her husband Steve of Claremore, Oklahoma and Sarah Gauntt and her husband Nick of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; one brother, David; five sisters, Kathy, Gloria, Carol, Barbara, and Patty; ten grandchildren, Brittany, Brooklyn and Brandon Gauntt, Casey Suter, Justice and Marcus Williamson, Meghan Young, Saddie McCollum and Steven Wilson, III; three great-grandchildren, Maizy and Henry Young and McKay McCollum; his fur baby, Rocky; and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Gloria Williamson; his wife, Susan Williamson; and three siblings.There are no scheduled services at this time.
