Mike Gordon's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Mr. Mike Gordon April 18, 1950 – August 30, 2025
With heavy hearts and grateful memories, we announce the passing of Mr. Mike Gordon, who left this world on August 30, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on April 18, 1950, Mike lived a life full of laughter, loyalty, and love—especially for his family, his favorite teams, and a good plate of Waffle House hash browns.
Mike was a proud and passionate Oklahoma State University fan, known to cheer on the Cowboys with unmatched enthusiasm. Some of his happiest moments were spent in the stands at OSU football games, especially when joined by his daughter Melissa Kindt. Their shared love for the game was more than tradition—it was a bond that ran deep.
He is survived by his daughter Stephanie and her husband Andrew Demuth, along with her children Johnathon and Hannah Brasel, who brought him endless joy. His daughter Melissa and her beloved puppy Panda Bear—affectionately called “Bear” by Mike—held a special place in his heart. He also leaves behind Needra Gordon, the mother of his daughters, and his brothers Jack Gordon Jr., and wife Elise, Todd Gordon, and P.S. Gordon. A host of extended family and dear friends will continue to carry his memory forward, each touched by his kindness, humor, and unmistakable sparkle in those beautiful blue eyes.
Mike’s love for his grandchildren—and yes, his grandpuppy—was boundless. He cherished them all “heaps and heaps,” a phrase that will echo in the hearts of those who knew him best. Whether it was attending NASCAR races in Texas with his grandson or sharing a booth at Waffle House, Mike found joy in the simple pleasures and the company of those he loved.
He was a man of deep loyalty, quick wit, and a heart big enough to hold a stadium’s worth of love. His legacy lives on in the stories shared, the games watched, and the memories made around breakfast tables and racetracks alike.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Mike by making a donation in his honor to your preferred Alzheimer's research organization.
