Michelle "Missie" York's Obituary
YORK – Michelle (Missie) Marie, 51, untimely passed away in Tulsa at St. Francis Hospital on Oct. 18, 2008 after a long illness. She was born to Tom and Patty Ballard on November 11, 1956 in Tulsa, OK. Missie was a 1975 graduate of Broken Arrow High School and worked at a variety of jobs during her working career including the cosmetic counter at John A. Brown (later Dillard’s), several collection agencies, and later as office manager for the family owned business The Music Store in Tulsa. In 1997 she became a full time housewife and dog mother to her Shetland Sheepdogs and Collie and indulging her 7 grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 24 years Larry, daughter and son-n-law by marriage Amie & Scott Parsons of Salina, OK., son and daughter-n-law by marriage Adam & Misty York of Broken Arrow, parents Tom and Patty Ballard of Broken Arrow, parents-n-law Paris & Rose York of Broken Arrow, sister Tammy Beaver of Broken Arrow, brother Tommy Chris Ballard of Tulsa, sister-n-law and husband Cindy and Casey Eberting of San Antonio, brother-n-law and wife Victor and Teresa York of Broken Arrow, 7 grandchildren Zac Parsons, Mary Parsons, Sarah Parsons, Jon Parsons, Abbie Parsons, Joseph York, Addilynn York, neices Hanna Beaver, Rachael York, Rebecca York, nephews Tim Beaver, Taylor York, great nephew Ayden Beaver. Missie was an avid Beatles fan, especially Paul McCartney, collected Beatle memorabilia and attended McCartney concerts whenever possible. Missie loved gardening and loved traveling and spoiling her grandchildren and watching them in their numerous activities. Services will be at 3:00 PM, Thursday October 23, 2008 at Floral Haven Chapel, 6500 S. 129th E. Ave., Broken Arrow, OK. 918-252-2518. Visitation will be from noon Wednesday October 22 till noon on Thursday October 23. Interment will be in Floral Haven Veterans Cemetery.
