Mildred Lou Overstreet's Obituary
Welcome to the Life Celebration of Mildred Lou Childers Overstreet. She was born in Hominy, OK on March 14, 1941 to Richard (Dick) Childers and Mamie Lucille Childers. She grew up with her brother Donald and sister Betty in Hominy. She graduated from Hominy High, where she was a majorette in the marching band. In High School, she met her love of 60 plus years Fred Overstreet. During their marriage, they had two children: Holly (Brad) and Rodney (Leah); four grandchildren: Blake, Brandon (Kristine), Hannah, and Lindsey; and one great granddaughter: Khloe.
They traveled some, and when they did, it usually included stopping by to play the slot machines wherever they ended up. Millie loved her puppies, elephants and slot machines in that order. Her heart was full with pride and joy for her family. Whenever someone talked to her on the phone, she always bragged about Hannah being a Nurse, Lindsey becoming a Dietician, Brandon becoming a Master mechanic, a Dad, and a Husband, Blake pursuing his dreams as a co-owner in a business, and Khloe bringing a smile to her face every time she saw her.
Her love and support for all of us will be missed! We love you Millie, Mom, Grandma, and GWiddy.
