Mildred Wentz's Obituary
With deep love and gratitude, we remember Mildred Lee Wentz (Meemee), who was born May 17, 1941, in Merced, CA, and passed away peacefully in her home in Tucson, AZ, on December 27, 2025, at the age of 84. Mildred was the beloved wife of the late Dennis Wentz; loving daughter of the late Ben and Flora Davis; sister of Norma (the late Jesse) Salas, the late Sanford Davis, Marianne (Fred) McGehee, and Carl (Debbie) Davis. She was an adoring mother to Scott (Gina) Wentz and Darius (Jennifer) Wentz; dearest grandmother of Marissa (Michael) Rivet, Zachary (Bethany) Wentz, and Jamin Wentz; and cherished great-grandmother of Macklin and Macyn Rivet. She found great joy in the warm Arizona sun, the comfort of her beautiful mountain views, and the simple peace of being surrounded by nature. Whether watching the sky change colors or enjoying the company of the wildlife she so adored, those moments brought her true happiness. An animal lover through and through, her home and heart were always open to the many beloved pets who brought her companionship and joy. She leaves behind her beloved cat, Tiggy, who brought her comfort and devotion and who she will reunite with someday on the rainbow bridge. We find peace in knowing she is now reunited in heaven with her husband, cherished loved ones, and the faithful pets who preceded her, lovingly waiting to welcome her home with open arms. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA in honor of Mildred’s lifelong love for animals.
