Jessica Scott is my great-niece. This is how we know Jason. He spoke so highly of his father Miles when he was in. He told us Christmas of how his Dad had beat the odds so many times in his illness. I just want to say Miles has no more pain & suffering. He now has a glorified body is by our Lord's side. Please try to take comfort in knowing this. Love & prayers to all of Miles loved ones & family.
I appreciate having known Bro. Miles. He truly was a Christian man and I'm so thankful he's now shouting on the streets of gold!!! He's funeral was so sweet and represented Bro. Miles well. I know he would have been pleased. Praying for you all Sis. Rebecca. Love y'all!!!
So sorry for your loss. Bro. Miles was a great man. I know that there will be a huge void with him gone. But you will always have memories. One of mine is the way he played the bass. I have never yet seen anyone else hold the bass like he did. He was quite a bass player. He will be greatly missed.
I just wanted to say to the family how sorry we are for your loss. We are Jessica Swaney-Scott's parents. She is married to Jason Scott. He has always spoken so highly of his dad Miles. Jason loved his dad so much and has so many memories of the time he spent with him. I am thankful for the chance that I had to meet Miles. We live in North Carolina, and I flew out last January to be with Jessica when our granddaughter Jaycie Grace was born.It was such a blessing to spend time with Miles. Even though he was sick, he had a smile on his face and was so positive. He also knew how to make me laugh and feel like I was a part of the family. His faith in the Lord touched my heart. I pray that the family has peace in knowing that Miles is no longer suffering and is rejoicing in heaven. Bro. Miles, you always seemed so happy, every time I saw you. Even in the hospital, you always had a smile, and you couldn't help but to be the center of attention, with your upbeat attitude. The one thought I've had over the past two years is that when my time comes and might it be through a long, hard illness, that I fight with the same grace, joy and determination to do it right as Miles Scott did. It never failed, if I went to visit and encourage he and Rebecca, I came away encouraged. I know he made many happy and special memories for Rebecca to hold on to over the next weeks and months. He will continue to be an encouragement through those memories……we often wondered and questioned why God allowed him to linger on, maybe we needed Miles more than he needed to go home. But, now his journey is over and he is resting in the everlasting arms of his heavenly Father….thank you, Lord, for those memories.

We didn't personally know Miles,but we have heard great Godly stories about him.His son Jason Scott is married to our grandaughter Jessica.But I am a firm beliver if we are born again we will see & know people we have never seen when we get our glorified body.I am sure he is rejoycing in his now.There are no words to say that can really comfort at this time of his loss.Because there is so much hurt & pain that you have inside that only God himself can help you with.Jason has told me many times that his Dad was his role model.He spoke well of his father and how he love the Lord and how he had helped others through his faith.My prayer for you all is to put your trust in God and let him help you through the most difficult days ahead. Memories are a keepsake with which will never part. God has you in his keeping and the family has the memories in their heart. May God bless each of you & be close to him in the days to come.
